Personal income tax for foreigners to fall to 13% from 2020

YEREVAN, Oct 1 (PRIME) -- The Russian government may approve a law to reduce personal income tax for foreigners to 13% from 30% already during the autumn session so that it comes in force at the beginning of 2020, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Tuesday.

“Speaking of what happens from what year, I say that the bill has been prepared, and we may approve it in the autumn session in the best case scenario. Since we’ve prepared a bill to change the regulation on when the tax laws can be approved, and we’ve cancelled the deadline of October 1. So we may approve the bill this year so that it comes in force next year,” he said.

The measure will have almost no impact on the Russian budget, he said.
